Twenty-seven new community cases of COVID-19 confirmed

HÀ NỘI — Twenty-seven new community cases of COVID-19 were reported in Việt Nam on Saturday evening, with two in the capital of Hà Nội, raising the number of community cases in the country since January 27 to 208.

HCM City recorded one community case, a 28-year-old man with a permanent address in Hải Dương Province. He had contact with Patient 1,612 in the pandemic hotspot of Chí Linh City, Hải Dương Province.

Gia Lai Province in the Central Highlands reported two cases, a husband and wife. They live in Ayun Pa Township of Gia Lai Province and are connected to case 1,612 in the pandemic spot in Chí Linh City, Hải Dương Province.

Hà Nội reported two cases, a 40-year-old man in Nam Từ Liêm District, who had contact with Patient 1,584 and a 34-year-old man in Đông Anh District, who had contact with Patient 1,694.

Four cases were reported in Quảng Ninh Province, all had contact with previous positive patients in Chí Linh City.

Hải Dương Province had 18 new cases, and their epidemiological information is under investigation.

Also, one new imported case of COVID-19 was reported on Saturday in HCM City. The patient is a 47-year-old expert with American nationality. He left the US and transit in South Korea, then arrived in Tân Sơn Nhất Airport on January 28. He was isolated upon entrance. — VNS
