One more imported COVID-19 case confirmed on Wednesday evening

One new imported case of COVID-19 was recorded on Wednesday evening, raising the national count to 1,173.

HÀ NỘI One new imported case of COVID-19 was recorded on Wednesday evening, raising the national count to 1,173.

The patient is a 43-year-old man from Kỳ Anh Distric in the central province of Hà Tĩnh. On October 20, he returned to Việt Nam from Angola on the flight VN8 which landed at Vân Đồn International Airport in Quảng Ninh Province.

He and other passengers on the flight were taken to quarantine in the northern province of Bắc Ninh immediately after landing.

On Tuesday he tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 and is now being treated at Bắc Ninh General Hospital.

Another 13 passengers on the same flight are also currently being treated for COVID-19 after earlier testing positive.

So far, 1,062 people have made a full recovery from the virus.

Among the active patients, six have tested negative for the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 once, two negative twice and eight negative three times. There are no patients in a critical condition and the fatalities remains at 35.

As many as 14,819 people who had close contact with COVID-19 patients or came from pandemic-hit areas are now under quarantine nationwide. VNS
