HÀ NỘI — Three people have died after a lorry smashed into a car which was parked at red stop lights in Hà Nội’s Long Biên District on Tuesday morning.

The accident happened around 4am at the intersection of Nguyễn Văn Linh and Sài Đồng.

The three people killed in the accident have been named as Nguyễn Hoàng Dương, Nguyễn Ánh Pháp, and Văn Hoàng, all residing in Long Biên District.

A fourth person in the car, Đào Thị Nga, survived the crash but has been taken to hospital.

Early inquiries show the driver of the lorry seemed to have lost control of the vehicle which drove over the four-seater car and ended up with its wheels on the roof.

A full investigation is being carried out to determine the cause of the crash. — VNS
