HÀ NỘI — The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Việt Nam (ICHAM) and its member companies have organised a charitable mission to support people hardest hit by Typhoon Yagi in the northern provinces of Yên Bái, Hà Giang, and Lào Cai.

This initiative was carried out last week in response to the call from the Central Committee of the Việt Nam Fatherland Front to help affected people deal with the aftermath of Typhoon Yagi.

Key participants in the mission included Federico Vasoli, Vice President of ICHAM, and Trần Thanh Quyết, Executive Director of ICHAM, and other business representatives.

They delivered 130 water purifiers, ten televisions and 400 sets of school supplies to 20 schools and 120 families in the provinces.

They also visited and provided gifts to families severely impacted by the storms and injured teachers and students who had lost parents to the floods in Mường Khương and Sapa.

ICHAM hopes that the charitable endeavour will inspire others to join in the recovery efforts and contribute to rebuilding the lives of those affected by Typhoon Yagi.— VNS
