HCM City to have 5 Reunification Day fireworks displays, not 16

HCM City has decided to reduce the number of venues for Reunification Day fireworks on April 30 from the originally planned 16 to five.

HCM CITY – HCM City has decided to reduce the number of venues for Reunification Day fireworks on April 30 from the originally planned 16 to five.

There will be one high-altitude fireworks show at the mouth of the Saigon River tunnel in Thủ Đức City.

The other four will be at the Thảo Điền villa area and Vạn Phúc Urban Area also in Thủ Đức City, the Northwest industrial park in Củ Chi and Đầm Sen Cultural Park in District 11.

The 15-minute firework displays will begin at 9pm on April 30.

Local authorities have been instructed to ensure safety and regulate traffic at areas where large crowds are likely to watch the shows. — VNS
