HÀ NỘI — A minibus driver with 16 passengers, including students from Hà Giang on a tour of Hà Nội, was apprehended while driving under the influence of alcohol by the No.1 Traffic Police Squad on Sunday.

The group had travelled around Hà Nội's Old Quarter and were on their way back to their hotel. They were pulled over by officers No.1 Traffic Police Squad for inspection near the Quán Sứ - Tràng Thi intersection.

The driver, Nguyễn Thanh H., 56, was found to have a blood alcohol level of 0.153 mg per litre after being breathalysed. Police seized his vehicle.

The passengers were transported by the police back to their hotel in Cầu Giấy using a police car and three personal vehicles.
