On September 12, 2022, the Vietnam Scientists Heritage Center and Scientists Heritage Park Vietnam (MEDDOM) celebrates its 15th anniversary, receiving a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association.

MED-GROUP has invested heavily in constructing the Vietnam Scientists Heritage Park in Cao Phong, Hòa Bình. From a hilly land that only grows oranges and sugarcane, the park has an entirely new look, with many unique architectural works.

Invested by MED-GROUP Medical Group, the mission of the Vietnam Scientists Heritage Center and the Vietnam Scientists Heritage Park is researching, collecting, preserving and promoting the values of Vietnamese scientists' heritage.

The birth of MEDDOM established new conceptions of a special type of heritage - the heritage of Vietnamese scientists. After 15 years of construction and development, MEDDOM studied nearly three thousand scientists in all disciplines and scientific fields, collected nearly a million documents and artefacts, and hundreds of thousands of minutes of recorded stories of Vietnamese scientists.

Research is one of the key tasks of MEDDOM. Over 15 years, MEDDOM has published dozens of publications related to scientists, such as The Legacy of Scientists' Memory (eight volumes), Artefact Stories (five volumes), Profile of Particles Secret Seeds and All Roads to Success.

Dozens of exhibitions have been held, attracting public interest, especially from the younger generation.

Dr Nguyễn Văn Huy, Professional Director of the Center for Heritage of Scientists, said: "The Museum of Science and Scientists in Vietnam reflects the history of Vietnamese sciences according to the historical timeline from the early 20th century to the present, combined with thematic exhibitions. From there, the public will be able to understand more about generations of Vietnamese scientists who have made valuable contributions to science and lives in the course of scientific history over the past 100 years."

Each artefact represents not only the presence of scientists but also contains their fascinating and unique life stories and professions.

The museum introduces to the public many science issues, such as the emergence, expansion and development of different scientific fields in Việt Nam; the development of each scientific discipline associated with scientific achievements and specific scientists in each period; and how to overcome difficulties and the creativity of scientists.

Nguyễn Hữu Đồng, MEDDOM Vice Manager, said, "The heritage centre for scientists and scholars in Việt Nam was founded to preserve and promote the heritage of the sciences. The main goal was to preserve these values as emphasised and hoped for by scientists in Viêt Nam. It used to be quite difficult as a newly established organisation because scientists could be distrustful or unsure about disclosing scientific findings. Recently, we have found it easier as scientists now willingly bring their findings to our collection to preserve the files in an organised manner for the younger generations' use and country's benefit."

"Since 2016, the park has attracted thousands of visitors every year, becoming a favourite destination of many tourists throughout the country. Since the country opened the border for international tourists on March 15, our centre has received substantially large groups of visitors, particularly during organised events for student class reunions or extracurricular activities. In the first six months of this year, we've welcomed an average of 30,000 visitors," said Đồng.

Nguyễn Thị Hồng Nhung, a visitor, said: "Coming here, I felt impressed and interested because I was able to discover and gain exposure with the help and explanation from the guides, who talked about the history and heritage of the sciences from the past to the current modern times. I believe the knowledge I gained from this exhibit is so useful and memorable because of the stories about scientists' lives, how the fields have progressed, and the heritage that have been left behind for us, which is valuable not just to me as an individual but also for the generations to come."
