("Zip Cinema") shall produce its next major film withthe working title, ALONE, which is expected to commence filming in thesecond half of 2019. The movie is Zip Cinema's upcoming project following itsromantic comedy film, CRAZY ROMANCE, set to release in 2019 in Korea.
Headlinedby top leading actor Yoo Ah-in of UAA & Co Inc. ("UAA"), asubsidiary of the Group's associated company Spackman Media Group Limited ("SpackmanMedia Group"), and popular actress Park Shin-hye, ALONE is based onan original scenario by Hollywood writer Matt Taylor, who produced the Americandocumentary series, SMALL BUSINESS REVOLUTION: MAIN STREET. Yoo Ah-in ofUAA was previously the only Asian actor to be awarded one of "THE BEST ACTORSOF 2018" by The New York Times.
Thefilm relates the story of isolated survivors of a closed-off city that gets outof control as a consequence of a sudden spread of an unknown infection. UAA's Yoo Ah-in of DEFAULT (2018), BURNING(2018) & VETERAN (2015) shall play the role of Joon Woon, a gamerwho survived by himself and becomes disconnected from the rest of the world. ParkShin-hye of MEMORIES OF THE ALHAMBRA (2018), THE DOCTORS (2016) &THE HEIRS (2013) takes on the role of Yoo Bin, another survivor whorelies on her own survival skills throughout the extremely challengingsituation of the closed-off city.
Thefilm shall be distributed by Lotte Entertainment and directed by Jo II Hyung,who was from the American Film Institute.
