Multi-talented artist Stanford Reid from Brooklyn, New York, who is back in Hà Nội after touring Việt Nam, will present a live music night in Heritage Space on Sunday.

Reid will offer his smooth jazz and also melodies familiar with Vietnamese that he has heard during his visit.

He began his musical career by playing piano and singing in a children’s choir. He continued his love for music by playing alto sax in junior and senior high school. Shortly after high school, Reid found himself at rock bottom and it was only his music that got him through tough times.

Reid left his hometown of Baltimore, Maryland, and headed for Jersey City, New Jersey, where he went to college for cinematography, started an indie rock band, and decided to go solo and began making electronic pop, alt R&B, and chillwave instrumentals.

He also began writing songs for himself. In October 2004, he released his EP Sounds of Falling Trees, which led him to sign a recording contract with Tate Music Group.

Tickets cost VNĐ150,000 (VIP ticket), 120,000 (standard), and 100,00 (members, students). Heritage Space is at 28 Trần Bình Street, Mỹ Đình 2. — VNS
