The ninth Thai Festival in Hà Nội will be held this weekend in Thống Nhất Park.

The two-day event, organised by the Royal Thai Embassy in Hà Nội in collaboration with Thai private sector and Thai community, aims to strengthen Thailand - Việt Nam bilateral relations, especially at people-to-people level. It also aims to promote Thailand through cuisine and products from all over the kingdom.

More than 70 exhibitors and performers from Thailand will take part in the festival, which will feature music from northeastern Sakon Nakhon province, modern and traditional Thai performance by the Sbunnga Dance Troupe from Chiang Mai Province, and a mini concert by Thai pop singers.

For children: Funds from the ninth Thai Festival in Hà Nội will go to deprived children.

The festival’s agenda will also feature Muay Thai boxing, and cooking demonstrations by Thai food experts. A lucky draw with many interesting awards such as motorcycles and return air tickets to Bangkok with Thai Airways and Air Asia, hotel vouchers and electrical appliances.

All proceeds of the event after deduction of costs will be donated to the the National Fund for Vietnamese Children. — VNS
