Quảng Ninh is expected to open to welcome international visitors for the first time in the first week of 2022. The very first group of tourists from Korea will enter Vân Đồn international airport on January 7, 2022.

Quảng Ninh has selected pilot tourism models to welcome international guests, including overnight cruises in Hạ Long Bay, entertainment at Tuần Châu International Tourist Area, and vacations at Yên Tử relic and scenic area, Uông Bí City, and Móng Cái - Trà Cổ tourist area, Móng Cái City.

Quảng Ninh also announced businesses and service facilities that are eligible to welcome international tourists in the first phase, including FLC Grand Hạ Long Hotel, Tình nghĩa Tourist and Transport Trading Joint Stock Company, and the branch of Viet Way Company in Quảng Ninh. The province also selected a number of ships that are allowed to welcome international tourists to visit Hạ Long Bay in the first phase.

Quảng Ninh is one of five localities in the country proposed by the National Administration of Tourism to welcome international tourists under a pilot program based on the following conditions: high vaccination rate, capacity to cope with epidemics, and high-class, attractive and all-inclusive travel experiences.  VNS
