May 30, 2024 - 11:33
The opening night of the Đà Nẵng International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2024 will be on June 8, featuring a firework competition between teams from France and Việt Nam, performances by top Vietnamese singers, and, for the first time, internationally acclaimed artistic jetski displays.

With the theme 'Unique Culture', DIFF 2024 is certainly offering something amazing this year. The opening night of DIFF 2024 will be a firework 'face-off' competition between pyrotechnic teams from Việt Nam and France.

The French team, ArtEventia, will be hoping to beat the display from the Đà Nẵng group, with a display along the Hàn River, to take home the trophy for a second year in a row.

ArtEventia will present a performance titled 'Dance of the Dragon', inspired by legendary dragon imagery, showcasing a spectacle of colors, lights, and emotions erupting from the dragon's mouth. It symbolizes the beauty of love, joy, and the courage to face life's challenges.

Known for their light shows infused with the essence of fire culture and Latin influences combined with distinctive French elements, ArtEventia won consecutive prestigious fireworks competitions, including the Champion of DIFF 2023, Champion of the International Fireworks Festival Knokke-Heist (Belgium) in 2022, and the first place at the Szczecin International Fireworks Festival (Poland) in 2019.

Meanwhile, with the advantage of being the host and extensive experience from previous DIFF seasons, the Vietnamese team has prepared an elaborate light show titled 'Dance of the Sky'.

This performance will feature a symphony of over 4,000 fireworks combined with hundreds of different color effects, creating a vibrant and modern soundscape inviting tourists to enjoy the delights of Việt Nam.

The most anticipated performance on the opening night of DIFF 2024 will be the Jetski & Flyboards artistic sports show. This will showcase a skillful combination of water and aerial dances, extreme sports performances, and fireworks displays. The show is performed by top world-class Jetski and Flyboards athletes, famous for their aerial somersaults.

It is being produced by H2O, a renowned Australian company and the world's leading producer of fire and water shows, who have over 30 years of experience wowing crowds in the US, Australia, and China, as well as working on blockbuster movies like James Bond and Mission Impossible.

There is more: DIFF 2024 will also feature many famous singers, including singer Tùng Dương - the Divo of Vietnamese music, Trang Pháp - who recently won 'Sisters Making Waves 2023', 'Sao Mai' singer Hồng Duyên, and 'Sao Mai 2022' champion Minh Ngọc.

These performances will include epic songs about the pride of Việt Nam, the beauty of Đà Nẵng, as well as timeless French love songs, a night of world-class artistry in the city by the Hàn River.

The artists will be performing on an even bigger stage than in 2023, approximately 1,260 square meters, with many modern technological improvements, creating a large performance space on a grand scale. It has been specially designed to convey the message of peace and humanity, aligning with the theme of DIFF 2024: 'MADE IN UNITY: Global Connection, Radiant Five Continents'.

DIFF 2024 on June 8 marks the 12th time the Đà Nẵng International Fireworks Festival has been held along the Hàn River, establishing Đà Nẵng as a leading destination for festivals and events in Asia.

The opening night of DIFF 2024 will be broadcast live at 8:10 pm on Việt Nam Television’s VTV1 channel.

Accompanying DIFF 2024, Đà Nẵng will host a series of exciting activities, including the Kpop Random Dance program, the Water Fest Festival, the DANAFF II Film Festival, and the Southeast Asian Student Sports Festival.

At Đà Nẵng's popular tourist destinations, various vibrant festivals and shows will also be organized, creating an exhilarating summer for the coastal city.

Sun World Ba Na Hills will become the grand stage for circus and magic shows, parade shows of the LGBT community, classic performances, and records that have made names for the world’s top artists in the fields of circus and magic.

At Da Nang Downtown (formerly Asia Park), there will be the Jetski & Flyboards show, those firework displays, and the show 'Rối Việt' on loop.

The online ticket portal (diff.vn) for the opening night is open, with ticket prices ranging from VNĐ800,000 to VNĐ3 million across five grandstand tiers.

Vietnamese visitors can take advantage of the All in One combo (including one DIFF ticket, one cable car ticket to Bà Nà, and one lunch buffet), which is priced from VNĐ1.75 million for adults and VNĐ1.5 million for children.

This is a wonderful opportunity for visitors to save costs while enjoying the stunning fireworks displays and exploring the vibrant city of Đà Nẵng throughout the summer.
