HÀ NỘI — The Thái Bình Province-based Bamboo Airways Youth Football Training Club has officially creating a new football hub in the northern region.

Thái Bình has for a long time been famous because of their young football talent and they dominated the national championships for children.

The province is home to well-known players such as Nhật Nam and Danh Ngọc in the past and now Tuấn Anh, Minh Vương and Văn Hậu, with the latter two regular names on the national team sheet.

However there was no professional centre to train their young footballers and the province also has no adult team competing in the national leagues.

The club will have football fields and a competition, players’ changing and fitness rooms and experienced coached will be brought in to train the youngsters.

“The club is expected to provide players who have strong physique and good skills which will one day reach regional level for national football.

“We believe that with the support of the Bamboo Airways the club will push Thái Bình’s football and Việt Nam’s football to a new level and conquer high targets in the future," said Hương Trần Kiều Dung, General Director of the FLC Group which manages the Bamboo Airways.

Currently there are several football training centres in the north such as Viettel, PFV and Hà Nội FC. — VNS
