TRÀ VINH — The Cửu Long (Mekong) delta province of Trà Vinh has earmarked nearly VNĐ87 billion (US$3.7 million) to build or upgrade 18 electricity distribution networks to meet the demand from both domestic and commercial consumers.
Huỳnh Chí Hải, director of the Trà Vinh Power Company, which will undertake the work, said 101km of medium-voltage and 117km of low-voltage power lines and substations with a total capacity of 11,785MVA would be installed.
The new and upgraded lines will ensure supply to residential and shrimp farming areas and islet communes in various localities.
The work is expected to be completed by the end of this year, Hải said. — VNS
