HÀ NỘI — Eight Vietnamese patients with COVID-19 have recovered and were discharged from the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases in Hà Nội on Monday afternoon, bringing the country’s total recovered cases to 249.

They include four patients from the COVID-19 hotspot in Hạ Lôi Commune, Mê Linh District, Hà Nội; two from Thái Nguyên Province; one from Hưng Yên Province and the last from Bắc Giang Province.

The recovered patients in full are:

Patient 178, female, 44, residing in Đại Từ District, Thái Nguyên Province, was admitted to the hospital on March 28. During treatment, the patient had two tests and both came back negative for SARS-CoV-2 on May 5 and 8. Currently, the patient has no fever, regular heart rate and is in a stable condition.

Patient 218, female, 43, living in Phú Xá District, Thái Nguyên City of Thái Nguyên Province, was admitted to the hospital on April 1. The patient was tested twice and all tests were negative for SARS-CoV-2 on May 7 and 10. The patient currently has no fever, no cough, no breathing difficulties and is in a stable condition.

Patient 250, female, 50, residing in Mê Linh District, Hà Nội, was hospitalised on April 7. The patient also passed two tests on May 5 and 8. Currently, the patient has no fever, no cough, and is in a stable condition.

Patient 254, male, 51, residing in Mê Linh, Hà Nội, was hospitalised on April 9. The patient had two tests and all tests were negative for SARS-CoV-2 on May 6 and 9. The patient ​​has a history of chronic kidney failure. Currently, the patient has no fever and stable vital signs.

Patient 256, male, 52 years old, staying in Văn Lâm District, Hưng Yên, was admitted to the hospital on April 8. The patient had two negative test results on May 5 and 8. Currently, the patient has no cough, no fever, no shortness of breath.

Patient 259, female, 44, residing in Mê Linh, Hà Nội, was admitted to the hospital on April 12. The patient also had two SARS-CoV-2 negative test results on May 5 and 8. Currently, she is in a stable condition.

Patient 262, male, 26, residing in Mê Linh, Hà Nội, was admitted to hospital on April 13. During treatment, the patient had two tests and all tests were negative for SARS-CoV-2 on May 5 and 8. Currently, the patient has no fever, no cough and is in a stable condition.

Patient 269, male, 23, residing in Việt Yên District, Bắc Giang Province, was admitted to the hospital on April 24. The patient also passed two tests with negative results for SARS-CoV-2 on May 5 and 8. Currently, the patient has no fever, no cough and is in a stable condition.

All the recovered patients will continue to be isolated and monitored at the hospital for the next 14 days however.

As of Monday morning, the Ministry of Health reported no new COVID-19 community transmission cases in Việt Nam over the past 25 days. The total number of patients with the novel coronavirus stands at 288 and no deaths have been reported. — VNS
