HÀ NỘI — About 20 buses will transport 238 people who completed their COVID-19 quarantine from Hà Nội to their homes in several cities and provinces today.

The Hà Nội Transport Service Corporation (Transerco) had prepared 100 buses with 60 seats on each for such trips.

The buses will pick up 194 people in the quarantine facility in Pháp Vân-Tứ Hiệp student dormitory in Hoàng Mai District and 48 in a military camp in Thanh Trì District.

The people will be transported to the provinces of Thá‌i Nguyên, Quảng Ninh, Hưng Yên, Ninh Bình, Thanh Hóa, Hà Nam, Hòa Bình, Yên Bái, Tuyên Quang, Vĩnh Phúc and Phú Thọ, as well as Hải Phòng City.

Previously, the Transport Department of Hà Nội sent letters to the police and transport departments of cities and provinces nationwide on bringing those quarantined in Hà Nội home.

The bus and coach drivers must carry an official letter and lists of citizens who were certified to have completed their quarantine to submit to authorised forces en route.

The people being transporting will be also asked to carry their certificates of quarantine completion.

There will be police officers on the buses and coaches to monitor the journey.

The vehicles must be disinfected before and after the journey and all people on board must wear face masks during the journey.

On the way back to Hà Nội, the buses and coaches will be empty, except for the driver and police.

To comply with Hà Nội’s direction on COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control, Transerco requested the Hà Nội Transport Department provide the corporation’s buses and coaches with special badges and operation permits for the mission.

The corporation also asked the Hà Nội Financial Department to calculate the expenses for the trips. — VNS
