HCM CITY — Vice President Đặng Thị Ngọc Thịnh offered warm wishes to the General Confederation of the Evangelical Church of Việt Nam (South) and its head Pastor Thái Phước Trường ahead of the Christmas holiday during her visit to HCM City on December 20.

She extended Christmas wishes to Protestant dignitaries and followers, congratulating the confederation on its strong growth of nearly a million followers in more than 2,000 chapters nationwide.

Vice President Thịnh thanked them for standing side-by-side with the Party and State and wished that they would continue the sense of unity to contribute to the nation.

Pastor Trường thanked leaders of the Party, State and the Việt Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee for providing support for Protestant followers to join religious activities, adding that since the Law on Belief and Religion took effect earlier this year, Protestants’ religious activities have expanded across the nation.
