HÀ NỘI — Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate Đoàn Hồng Phong held talks with Khamphan Phommathat, President of the Lao State Inspection Authority, in Hà Nội on Monday.
The Vietnamese official emphasised that the Lao official's working visit is a vivid demonstration of the good cooperation and friendship between the two inspectorate agencies in recent years.
While also being a valuable opportunity for the two sides to implement the memorandum of understanding on cooperation, which they signed in 2022, they also shared experiences abd exchanged the best practices in directing and managing inspection, citizen reception, complaint and denunciation solution.
He expressed his belief that the effective cooperation and friendship between the Việt Nam and Laos will continue to contribute to promoting great friendship, a special solidarity and solid cooperation.
For his part, Phommathat said that the talks offered an important chance to implement the contents of the MoU signed between the two agencies.
The two sides provided an overview of the socio-economic situation in each country, results and experience in managing inspection activities, citizen reception, complaint and denunciation solution, and combating corruption and negative phenomena in recent times, as well as orientations and tasks for the future. — VNS
