HCM CITY — The Saigon Players, an English-language theatre group, will stage the comedy Shakespeare in Saigon by Australian director Cernarth Fox from March 15-17.
Directed by Rowan Standish-Hayes, the play is about a love story between David, a soon-to-be retired English literature high school teacher, and Thanh, a Vietnamese woman who visits David to learn English.
All profits from the three shows will be donated to the Saigon Children’s Charity, a non-profit organisation based in HCM City that provides direct support to disadvantaged children to ensure wider access to education in Việt Nam.
The play will be staged at Minh Nhí Theatre – Koi Café at 26/6A Nguyễn Bỉnh Khiêm Street in District 1.
Tickets cost VNĐ300,000 and VNĐ100,000 for students. — VNS
