THỪA THIÊN-HUẾ — More than 400 books on the culture, geology and history on the central city of Huế are on display in the downtown area of the city.
The books have been written by researchers and teachers living in Huế, such as Phan Thuận An, Hồ Vĩnh, Trần Đại Vinh and Nguyễn Đắc Xuân.
Various local book stores such as Phú Xuân Book Store, Thuận Hóa Publishing House, Liễu Quán Huế Culture Buddhism Centre and Huế Monuments Conservation Centre have also brought out ancient books written by the Nguyễn dynasty’s royal historians and other contemporary writers in and outside the country.
“This is the first step in connecting traditional values in the past and present,” Nguyễn Hồng Hoa Tranh, director of the Huế Culture Museum, said. “We will gradually introduce the cultural heritage stock of the ancient imperial citadel.”
The exhibition will run at the Huế Culture Museum, 25 Lê Lợi Street, Huế City, till September 5. — VNS
