HÀ NỘI — Diệu Hà has kicked off a music project Nghìn Trùng Xa Cách (Thousands of Miles Away) showing her passion for the music of Phạm Duy.
The project, including nine songs composed by late Phạm Duy, features love, patriotism and life.
"I love Phạm Duy's music because his music has a strange charm," Hà said at the project launching ceremony in Hà Nội.
"Lyrics in his compositions are always elaborate and beautiful. Learning and singing Phạm Duy's music are a challenge for me, but also an extremely interesting opportunity to experience and discover his music."
The song Tình Ca (Love Song), the first music video of the project, was launched at the ceremony. The video producer team are established by music director Nguyễn Hữu Vượng and director Kai Nguyễn Hải.
Tình Ca was shot in Hà Nội, the northern province of Quảng Ninh and the northern mountainous province of Sơn La, popularising nature landscapes and spreading love, the national pride and desire for peace.
"I like the music video arrangement by Vượng," said PhD in art studies Nguyễn Thị Minh Thái. "It is not a music video but a music film."
Under the project, Diệu Hà will release the remaining eight music videos in the next months.
