HÀ NỘI — The annual European Higher Education Week (EHEW) 2024 is currently taking place with two main events: 'Study in Europe' fairs in both Hà Nội and HCM City and the Erasmus+ Day in Hà Nội.
The event is organised by the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Việt Nam and Embassies of EU Member States in Việt Nam.
The 'Study in Europe' education fairs will feature the in-person participation of nearly 60 universities from different EU countries, delivering information on programmes of study and scholarship opportunities across many fields and education levels.
In addition, booths from the EU delegation, embassies and institutions of 18 EU member states including Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, the EU Alumni Network in Việt Nam and various EU higher education programmes will provide multitudes of perspectives on the experience of living in Europe.
At the fairs, a special talk with representatives of European businesses in Việt Nam will be held for the first time, discussing essential skill developments and possible career paths for European graduates, creating a must-attend event for students considering studying abroad.
As part of EHEW 2024, the Erasmus+ Day will provide valuable insights into the Erasmus+ programme for universities, institutions and education managers, while creating opportunities for Vietnamese and European universities to broaden their connections, share best practices in collaborative projects and establish new partnerships.
The EU Ambassador Julien Guerrier said: “EU-Việt Nam relations are very solid and have turned into one of the deepest and broadest partnerships within the region. To address the tremendous challenges the world is facing, such as climate change, security and keeping pace with new technology, requires skilled managers, scientists and experts in a variety of fields. This is what studying abroad can foster, and this is also what an EU study experience can offer.” — VNS
