Vietnam Maritime Corporation changed its brand identity

Vietnam Maritime Corporation has completely changed its brand identity with the new international transaction name - VIMC and a logo which is a combination of dark blue and light blue tones.

The event marked a new turning point of the corporation's development when beginning to operate as a joint stock company with the new name - Vietnam Maritime Corporation - JSC.

Changes to the logo

After the first general meeting of shareholders on August 13th, 2020, the corporation decided to officially operate as a joint stock company since August 18th, 2020.

"This is the result of many continuous efforts to overcome the difficulties of the whole corporation", said a representative of the corporation. At the same time, the corporation introduced a new brand identity based on its new international transaction name - VIMC (instead of Vinalines as before).

The new brand identity corresponds to the new transaction name -VIMC.

The new logo of the corporation has a combination of dark blue and light blue tones, representing the sea and sky respectively as well as its business lines and field. As the new brand name of Vietnam Maritime Corporation - JSC, the initial VIMC (Vietnam Maritime Corporation) is represented with a delicate and neat text structure symbolising modernity and creativity while bringing a sense of safety and customer friendliness.

The stylised globe logo on the left side is selected to express the strong desire for development to reach the continents and the world in addition to continuing to bring the next success in business for the corporation and making the corporation become a positive driving force to actively promote the development of its subsidiaries.

In addition to the new transaction name and brand identity, the corporation introduced the official website address - the official portal of Vietnam Maritime Corporation.

Setting new business standards

The new brand identity also shows the determination to constantly innovate Vietnam Maritime Corporation. Along with a new, modern, advanced management model and a change in brand identity, Vietnam Maritime Corporation also sets new business standards to ensure stable development in difficult and challenging times as present.

Le Anh Son - Chairman of VIMC talked about this new journey and even though the marine industry is the oldest industry, it is also one of the most unstable industries with erratic fluctuations according to fluctuations in global economy and politics. Vietnam Maritime Corporation’s dramatic changes in recent years helped it to overcome the greatest difficulty in a quarter of a century of its establishment and development. Although VIMC has done well, its competitors in the market have done even better.

"Changes to the management model, logo and icon are necessary, but the most important thing is to change the mindset and approach towards the customers. Only by that can a change to the logo become a logo of the changes” said a leader of VIMC.
