QUY NHƠN — Quy Nhơn, a coastal city in central Việt Nam, is rapidly emerging as a premier destination for local and foreign tourists.

Renowned for its natural beauty and well-developed tourism infrastructure, Quy Nhơn is at the heart of Bình Định province and is becoming a top choice for travelers seeking diverse and engaging tourism experiences. However, the city still lacks tourism activities, especially night tourism.

For a long time, the tourism industry has been identified as one of the five economic pillars of the province. However, many tourists coming to Quy Nhơn still feel unsatisfied because they have to "go to bed early".

Phạm Hoàng Phương, 28, who who recently traveled to Quy Nhơn, commented that he visited famous tourist attractions in this city on the first day, but during two nights in Quy Nhơn City, Phương and his friends expressed disappointment because there was not much to do at night.

“Quy Nhơn is really beautiful, but only during the day. Me and my friends planned to stay three to four nights, but because the evening was too sad and there were no interesting entertainment spots, we had to end the trip earlier than planned," Phương said.

Developing the night tourism model is a problem that many provinces and cities in Việt Nam are facing.

According to the People's Committee of Quy Nhơn City, the night activities in the city are available on Ngô Văn Sở, Phan Bội Châu and Hoa Lư culinary streets, on Lê Đức Thọ artistic street, and Quy Nhơn night market.

In addition, there are a number of other night activities such as shopping and entertainment services at supermarkets, bars, karaoke, restaurants, and eateries on Xuân Diệu, Nguyễn Thị Định, Nguyễn Trung Tín and Võ Thị Yến streets.

The city People's Committee plans to exploit its advantages to build and develop Quy Nhơn City until 2025, with an orientation to 2030.

The city calls on businesses to participate in investment and organising cultural, artistic, food and entertainment services to serve tourism development.

In addition, the locality also plans to organise tourism services on the beach such as: picnic services, tourist tents for guests to rent overnight on the beach; refreshment services and event organisation, and culture, arts, and beach tourism.

From the above moves, it can be seen that Quy Nhơn is making great efforts in developing the night economy.

Trần Văn Thanh, Director of the Department of Tourism of Bình Định Province, acknowledged: "Currently, Quy Nhơn still lacks night activities for tourists, there are also not many entertainment spots. If a provincial night tourism can be developed, it will promote further tourism development."

Currently, the People's Committee of the province has assigned the People's Committee of Quy Nhơn City to coordinate with departments and branches to promote its night tourism.

"Recently, the Department of Tourism also encouraged service businesses in the Xuân Diệu Street area to organise more art and entertainment activities. In the upcoming time, there will be more activities on this street," Thanh shared.

Quy Nhơn has emerged on the global tourism map as a "perfect place for a relaxed getaway," but its attractions are far more diverse than typical getaway destinations.
