Maths wizard motivated by family hardship

Nineteen-year-old student Nguyễn Thế Hoàn was one of two gold medallists at the 56th International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) recently held in Chiang Mai, Thailand. He was a member of Việt Nam’s six-member team that helped the country rank fifth among 104 countries and territories. Doing her part to clean up the environment

Associate Professor Dr Đặng Thị Cẩm Hà, a former chief of the Environmental Biotechnology Department at the Institute of Biotechnology, was given the 2015 Kovalevskaya award for her research on environmental protection, particularly technology to clean up oil contamination and treat soil contaminated by dioxin. Director returns to drama with experimental stage

A new drama, Đo La (Island of Fire), has opened at Hng Hc Theatre in HCM City. The theatre was built last December by veteran artist Vit Linh, as the first and only experimental stage in the city.
