HÀ NỘI — After six matches, the Vietnamese premiere league has seen many teams' fortunes change, with only two teams maintaining momentum.

Hà Nội FC and Thanh Hóa maintain their hold on first and second place, each with an unbeaten record and 14 points to their name.

As teams enter the next phase of the season, vying to accumulate as many points as possible before the SEA Games 32 in Cambodia next month, the domestic tournament is becoming increasingly exciting.

Hà Nội FC continue to impress, with Thursday's 3-0 victory over  Hải Phòng at Hàng Đẫy Stadium Stadium serving as the latest demonstration of the team's outstanding performance. Captain Nguyễn Văn Quyết has been a driving force behind the team's success, with his remarkable contribution leading to his recent milestone of 100 goals at the V.League 1.

Not to be outdone, Thanh Hóa has emerged as a 'phenomenon' in the league, having also accumulated 14 points and only trailing Hà Nội FC due to their goal difference.

Despite conceding first against Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh, Thanh Hoa demonstrated their fighting spirit with a 4-1 come-from-behind victory, extending their winning streak this season.

Thanh Hóa had positive changes ahead of the season thanks to their coach Velizar Popov who showed good adaptability in Vietnamese football to help Thanh Hóa play excitedly.

Earlier, few people believed that Thanh Hóa could play as well as they are now and become a great opponent in the race at the top of the rankings.

Besides Thanh Hóa and Hà Nội FC, Nam Định and Hoàng Anh Gia Lai (HAGL)are the two remaining teams who have not been defeated yet in the league.

Nam Định beat Sông Lam Nghệ An 1-0 to have a total of 12 points to rank third in the rankings. Along with Thanh Hóa, the positive changes before the season helped the Nam Định team significantly improve their strength, and they do not need to worry too much about the goal of relegation as in the previous seasons.

HAGL have had their fifth draw this season following the 1-1 against Khánh Hòa at home. HAGL has only won against Viettel. They now rank sixth in the rankings with eight points.

Meanwhile, the event also saw Hà Nội Police beat Bình Dương. This result helped the rookie Hà Nội Police temporarily rank fifth.

The event’s next matches will take place on April 15-17 with the eyes on Sông Lam Nghệ An against HAGL, Hà Nội Police with Nam Định and Bình Định with Hà Nội FC. VNS
