HCM CITY — HCM City People’s Committee has instructed relevant agencies and schools to comply with the Ministry of Education and Training’s COVID-19 protocols while organising the national high school graduation examinations and entrance tests for sixth and tenth grades.
They should strictly comply with preventive measures to ensure children’s safety, it said.
The Department of Education and Training should order schools and examination venues to clearly announce safety regulations for teachers, examination supervisors and candidates, it said.
Hand sanitisers and masks should be available at examination venues, it said.
There should be devices and personnel to check the body temperature of candidates every day and venues should be disinfected one day before the examinations start and after they end, it said.
The Ministry of Health’s 5K message to wear masks, frequently disinfect hands, maintain a safe distance, refrain from gatherings, and make health declarations should be scrupulously complied with, it said.
Candidates seeking admission to 10th grade but are in quarantine will be exempted from sitting the entrance examinations by the department and admitted at a school based on their earlier academic results.
The 10th grade entrance exams will be held on June 2-3 and the national high school examination from July 6 to 9.
