THANH HÓA — A massive fire burned down five cooling towers of a cooking oil factory in northern Thanh Hóa Province.
The fire occurred at 8pm last evening in the factory, which is under construction and owned by the Northern Vegetable Oil Company in Hải Hà Commune of Tĩnh Gia District.
According to initial information, the fire is believed to have started in cooling tower No 2, from where it rapidly spread to the other towers due to the strong wind.
The fire was extinguished after two hours. The cause of the blaze is being investigated.
At present, the loss incurred is unknown. — VNS
