A cooperation agreement signing ceremony was held on Monday (May 22) in the city.
Under the agreement, by 2027, VNPT HCM City will provide information technology products and services, and digital and communication services to the youth union in the city in order to promote the digital transformation of the youth union's work and activities.
That will help young people actively apply science and technology, and quickly adapt to new technologies in the fourth industrial revolution and the city’s digital transformation orientation.
Đỗ Đức Trung, deputy director of VNPT HCM City, said that the unit has coordinated with the HCYU of HCM City to build and implement a project to improve young people's digital capacity in the period of 2023-25.
The project focuses on providing training and fostering knowledge of digital transformation, information safety and security to youth union members and young people in the city.
In addition, VNPT HCM City will broadcast activities and events organised by the HCYU of HCM City.
The unit has taken part in building and implementing a youth project "Open data portal for HCM City youth in the period of 2023-27" through advanced applications and software associated with the requirements of the HCYU.
It gives priority to providing the HCYU of HCM City with advanced solutions and technologies to meet requirements for work and digital transformation.
It is also participating in the implementation of a digital platform-based ecosystem suitable to the characteristics of the work and activities of union members and young people in the city.
VNPT HCM City and the HCYU of HCM City will digitise the operations of the youth union units, and build an environment for organisations, businesses, and individuals to participate in developing the digital platform-based ecosystem in order to improve the material and spiritual life of local youth union members and young people.
The two sides will also develop incentive programmes for VNPT products and services, such as VNPT Money, MyTV, mobile services, and internet service packages.
Trần Thu Hà, deputy secretary of the HCYU of HCM City, said the HCYU of HCM City will create favourable conditions to provide necessary information for VNPT HCM City to research, develop plans, and participate in developing its organisation system and activities on telecommunications and digital services.
The Youth Union at all levels will give priority to using VNPT's telecommunications products and digital services.
