Pavements are meant to be a safe place for pedestrians. But in many parts of Hà Nội, they are used for much more than just walking – parking motorbikes, selling food, fixing bikes or even getting a haircut. Local authorities have implemented campaigns to clear the pavements but the situation has yet to improve. What do you think the reasons of rampant pavement encroachment are and how this can be solved?
