The northern midland and mountainous region will develop rapidly and sustainably with modern socio-economic structure by 2030.

Australia is a strategic partner of Việt Nam in the South Pacific. Cooperation between the two countries is developing effectively in various areas while the exchange of delegations and high-level meetings has been maintained.

During the visit, National Assembly Vice Chairman Nguyễn Đức Hải held talks with First Deputy Speaker of the Egyptian House of Representatives Ahmed Saad El-Din Mohamed Abd El-Rehim.

Notably, Việt Nam has always maintained a high percentage of female officers on missions, he added. Among 512 Vietnamese officers and soldiers sent to the UN peacekeeping missions, more than 70 are women.

The visit to Cambodia was the first by Huệ as the NA Chairman and also among the activities in the Việt Nam - Cambodia Friendship Year 2022 and in celebration of the 55th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic ties.

The PM believes that the visit will promote bilateral defence ties, further develop the two countries' relations, contributing to the world’s peace, prosperity and development.

The leaders stressed that the two countries should closely coordinate to deepen their relations in a pragmatic and effective manner, saying the exchange of delegations, especially at the high level, would help enhance mutual understanding and political trust.

Initially planned by the Ministry of National Defence (MoD) to take place in 2020, the expo was postponed due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
