She also thanked Mozambique for supporting Việt Nam’s candidacy as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council in the 2020-21 tenure, and suggested the two countries continue to closely cooperate and support each other in multilateral forums.

She called on the Mozambican Government to continue creating favourable conditions for the Vietnamese community to live and do business in the country, towards tightening the friendship between the two nations’ peoples.

The Acting President also said was looking forward to welcoming Mozambique President Filipe Nyusi.

For his part, Guebuza extended condolences from President Filipe Nyusi and the Mozambican people to the State and people of Việt Nam, and praised the contributions made by the Vietnamese President to the Mozambique-Việt Nam relationship.

He said he believed that the State and people of Việt Nam would overcome this difficult time and continue to make greater achievements in national construction and development.— VNS
