President Trần Đại Quang (3rd from left) led a high-ranking delegation of Việt Nam’s State, National Assembly and Government to the Thai Embassy in Hà Nội yesterday to pay respects to the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. On behalf of the Vietnamese State and people, he offered his deep condolences to the Queen, Royal Family, leaders and people of Thailand, voicing the belief that they would overcome their heavy loss and continue developing their country. Under the 70-year reign of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, who passed away on October 13 at the age of 88, Thailand has grown strongly and its people have enjoyed prosperity and happiness, Quang said. He added that the monarch’s death dealt a sad blow to the Queen, Royal Family and people of Thailand, as well as to the ASEAN Community. — VNA/VNS photo Nhan Sáng. |
