HCM CITY — The Cường Vũ Trio concert will be held from 8pm to 10.30pm on January 18 at Soul Live Project Complex on 216 Pasteur Street in HCM City’s District 3.

Cường Vũ, winner of two Grammy awards, was the first Vietnamese Grammy award winner. He won for Best Contemporary Jazz Album, through his work with the Pat Metheny band.

He is currently associate professor and chair of jazz studies at the University of Washington. He was awarded the prestigious Distinguished Teacher Award in his third year on the faculty.

Vũ is also widely recognised by jazz critics as a leader of a generation of innovative musicians.

Before the concert, customers will have the privilege of a 60-minute chat with Vũ to talk about his journey with jazz as both an artist and an educator.

Tickets are VNĐ400,000 to VNĐ600,000 per person, with a 10 per cent discount for students. — VNS
