Family drama nominated as best TV series of year

The TV series Về Nhà Đi Con (Come Home, My Dear) currently ranks top of the list of nominees for Impressive TV Series, a category in the VTV Awards 2019.

HÀ NỘI – The TV series Về Nhà Đi Con (Come Home, My Dear) currently ranks top of the list of nominees for Impressive TV Series, a category in the VTV Awards 2019.

Directed by Nguyễn Danh Dũng, the TV series is about family issues. With simple stories that everyone may face, the series touched viewers. It soon became a blockbuster for Việt Nam Television (VTV).

Launched in 2014, the VTV Awards recognise and honour programmes and individuals who have a great impression on viewers of VTV channels over the year, from August to July of the next year.

There are 10 categories dedicated to Impressive Host of a Show, Impressive Actor, Impressive Actress, Impressive Singer, Impressive Documentary, Impressive TV Series, Impressive News, Impressive Culture-Society-Science Programme, Figure of the Year and Programme of the Year.

The cast of the drama Về Nhà Đi Con also lead the nominations in other categories such as People’s Artist Trung Anh (Impressive Actor) and Bảo Thanh (Impressive Actress).

The awards ceremony will be broadcast live on VTV1 and other digital platforms of VTV on September 7.

It will be arranged as an art performance with music directed by Huy Tuấn and the participation of various singers such as Hồ Ngọc Hà, Bùi Lan Hương, Mỹ Linh and Văn Mai Hương.

Many celebrities will be invited to hand out the awards such as circus performers Giang Quốc Cơ – Giang Quốc Nghiệp, Miss Việt Nam Đỗ Mỹ Linh and composer Đỗ Hồng Quân, chairman of the Việt Nam Musicians Association.

The awards will be given based on public votes and the jury board including prestigious journalists, directors and critics. VNS
