The beautiful landscapes of Việt Nam’s sea and islands of Việt Nam, lives of islanders and the marine economy are featured in an exhibition that opened on Thursday in Hà Nội.

Homeland’s Sea and Islands, displays 150 photos from archives at the Vietnam News Agency and Vietsovpetro, a joint oil and gas exploration venture between Việt Nam and Russia.

The exhibition takes visitors on a visual tour to sea and islands from the north to the south, including Hạ Long Bay, Điệp Sơn Island, Nam Du Island, Trường Sa (Spratlys) archipelago and Bạch Hổ oil field in Bà Rịa-Vũng Tàu Province.

The displays highlight Vietnamese marine resources in social and economic development, as well as the achievements of the army and people in politics, economics, culture, society, security and national defence. — VNS
