The largest furniture fair in Vietnam: VIFA EXPO 2025 to feature 3,000 booths

October 21, 2024 - 08:00
As the demand for networking opportunities among furniture businesses grows stronger, VIFA EXPO 2025 - the oldest and largest marketplace for the industry in Vietnam - has expanded to cover two of the largest exhibition centers in Ho Chi Minh City: SECC and SKY EXPO, with thousands of booths already booked.

Increasing demand with expanding opportunities for furniture businesses

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), in the first nine months of 2024, Vietnam achieved a record $12.5 billion in exports of wood and furniture, marking a significant increase of 17.2 percent compared to 2023. While there was a slight drop in demand from the Korean and Japanese markets, major markets such as the US, China, and Europe continue to show notable growth rates.

However, despite this success, the furniture export industry in Vietnam encounters several challenges in international trade, primarily due to the current state of the global economy and geopolitical risks. To address these difficulties, participating in export and trade fairs has emerged as the preferred strategy for furniture companies and other suppliers.

Established with the mission of becoming a trading bridge between Vietnam's furniture suppliers and global buyers and importers, VIFA EXPO has positioned itself as the most influential trade promotional event for Vietnam’s furniture industry, having successfully hosted 15 editions.

The upcoming VIFA EXPO 2025 will be one of the most distinguished furniture fairs in Asia, alongside MIFF in Indonesia (March 1-4), EFE in Malaysia (March 2-5), VIFA EXPO in Vietnam (March 5-8), IFEX in Indonesia (March 6-9), and CIFF in China (March 18-21 and March 28-31).

As a key part of the Asian furniture fair circuit, VIFA EXPO 2025 promises to meet the diverse requirements of buyers worldwide, who are seeking a wide variety of furniture and wooden goods from Vietnam and beyond.

The expo is expected to feature more than 600 exhibitors with over 3,000 booths, making the 16th VIFA EXPO in 2025 the largest edition ever. Among the product categories, furniture will occupy 75 percent of the space, while 15 percent will be devoted to handicrafts and home décor, and the remaining 10 percent will showcase machines, components, and services.

Set on an impressively grand scale, the event is anticipated to attract a total of 20,000 visitors, including 7,000 international buyers.

For the first time, VIFA EXPO 2025 will be held concurrently at two of the largest exhibition centers in Ho Chi Minh City: SECC and SKY EXPO.

SECC is the biggest and most impressive exhibition center in southern Vietnam. Located in the Phu My Hung Urban Area, District 7, SECC has been the venue of choice for numerous events and exhibitions in recent years. With a total area of 40,000 sq. m, spread across two main halls and multi-purpose outdoor spaces, SECC’s facilities meet the requirements of any large-scale event.

SKY EXPO, located in District 12 within the Quang Trung Software City in the northwest of the city, boasts a modern infrastructure system and an uninterruptible power supply. It is strategically positioned near key provinces such as Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Long An, with efficient transport services and easy access to Tan Son Nhat International Airport, facilitating smooth travel for visitors attending international events and trade fairs. It has hosted many prestigious international exhibitions and events across various industries, including VIFA EXPO, VIETBUILD, Solar & Storage, and Lifestyle Vietnam.

VIFA EXPO has long been trusted and valued by businesses as a stable foundation for promoting Vietnam’s furniture industry, providing thousands of genuine and effective trading opportunities between exhibitors and international buyers.

With increasing demand from participants in this trade show, VIFA EXPO 2025 will, for the first time, expand across both exhibition centers: SECC and SKY EXPO. This expansion is part of the organizers' long-term and sustainable development strategy to enhance the fair's brand and establish VIFA EXPO as the leading furniture exhibition in Vietnam on an international scale. To ensure that all visitors, especially international buyers, can conveniently access the entire exhibition, the organizers will provide a free two-way shuttle bus service between SECC and SKY EXPO, with high-frequency trips every 30 minutes, along with bus connections from official hotels to both venues and back.

To date, more than 2,000 booths have already been registered by over 400 exhibitors, fulfilling two-thirds of the organizers’ target. These include renowned furniture brands such as Koda, Woodnet, Scancom, Fine Scandinavian, MFC, PMA, Savimex, Thinh Viet, Lyprodan, Eurofar, Hiep Long, Cattie, Master Pacific, Mega Home, Wood Concept, and Global Home, along with ten sponsors from the most prestigious brands: Annda, Minh Tin, Your Furn Partner, Trendworld, Far East Foam, Livax, Canadian Wood, Reindeer, Latitude Tree, and Paul - Yu.

Organizer Lien Minh Company is also providing extensive support for businesses in Vietnam, particularly those affected by Typhoon Yagi.
