ĐÀ NẴNG — Two Korean Navy ships – Kang Gam Chan and Hwacheon – with 633 crew members began a three-day visit to the city yesterday.

The Korean ships, led by the Rear Admiral Yang Yong-mo, commander of the 2017 Cruise Training Task Group, will play sports with the Vietnamese Navy Zone 3, visit the city’s charity centre, and tour the city’s sites.

A Korean Navy band will perform at the outdoor stage at the East Sea Park on the beach of Mỹ Khê on Wednesday night (September 20th).

The navy ship will also present 11,000 Korean language teaching books, which were donated by Changwon City, to the city’s library and foreign language college.

The two ships will leave on Thursday.

Earlier this month, a Korean Coast Guard ship paid a three-day friendship visit to the city to mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Việt Nam and the Republic of Korea. — VNS
