HÀ NỘI – Sasuke, the sports game show that originated in Japan, will start its second season in Việt Nam from May 19.

Based on the Japanese format and produced by Tokyo Broadcasting System, Sasuke Việt Nam will be broadcast on the VTV3 channel at 8pm every Thursday.

This year, 1,500 people registered to join the first round of the game, including 35 foreign applicants. Participants are interviewed or auditioned, and trial rounds are held to test their physical ability, until the group is narrowed to 100 competitors.

Sasuke presents four stages of increasing difficulty, and competitors must complete a stage to advance. The competitors have to pass obstacles such as the Spinning Bridge, Rope Climb, Jumping Bars and Salmon Ladder, as well as the Spider Flip and Dodging Hammer, to reach the top of a tower called Midori-yama, within the given time.

To date, Sasuke has aired in nearly 200 countries. Sasuke Việt Nam has set a record as the most expensive TV show produced and aired on Việt Nam Television. — VNS
