The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) has decided to cancel plans for a single price model to calculate power tariffs after receiving feedback from relevant ministries and experts.
The common retail power price is expected to be applied at the beginning of next year together with the current tiered pricing mechanism, said Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Đỗ Thắng Hải.

Inflation is currently under considerable pressure and the consumer price index (CPI) jumped 0.66 per cent in June against the previous month, the largest increase since 2016.
