HÀ NỘI — Along with broadcasting the Asian Cup on its channels, FOX Sports will show all of Việt Nam’s matches at the upcoming Asian Cup final round with Vietnamese commentary.

The Asian Cup will take place from January 5 to February 1 next year at eight stadiums in four cities of the United Arab Emirates.

For the first time, the cup’s final round will be contested by 24 teams, having been expanded from the 16-team format that was used from 2004 to 2015. They are divided into 6 groups of 4 teams. The first and second placed teams of each group and 4 third placed teams will go through to a 16-team knockout stage.

Việt Nam are in Group D with Iran, Iraq and Yemen. The team is in Qatar for a training camp to prepare for the event.

Việt Nam have secured qualification for the first time since hosting the tournament in 2007 following a scoreless draw with Afghanistan in Hà Nội.
