HÀ NỘI — National football clubs have made moves to prepare for the coming tournaments in 2018.

V. League champion, Quảng Nam, has announced new faces — striker Wander Luiz from Long An, defender Trịnh Văn Hà from Becamex Bình Dương and goalkeeper Trần Đình Minh Hoàng of Huế FC.

Brazilian Luiz will be Quảng Nam’s third foreigner along with Thiago Melo and Claudecir Junior. In the five months of playing for Long An last season, Luis, 25, scored five goals.

Hà played for Quảng Nam in 2015 and 2016 before moving to Bình Dương early this year.

Hoàng is back to the team after spending two years in Huế. He was called to the national U23 squad under Japanese coach Toshiya Miura in 2014-16.

Apart from adding more members, coach Hoàng Văn Phúc also succeeded in extending contracts with key players such as midfielders Đinh Thanh Trung and Phan Thanh Hưng.

Former V. League winner, SHB Đà Nẵng, also signed three new contracts with young players — goalkeeper Phan Văn Biểu, midfielder Lê Văn Điệp, and national U19 defender Liễu Quang Vinh —from the Promotion Fund of Vietnamese Football Talents Football Centre.

The team is seeking a suitable person to take the head coach seat after long-time manager, Lê Huỳnh Đức, quit last month.

Hoàng Anh Gia Lai, the two-time V. League champion, has at least 10 players available on loan ahead of the coming season.

They are talented graduates of the Hoàng Anh Gia Lai’s training centre and the team managers try to find places for them to compete regularly to sharpen their skills.

Recently, Hoàng Nam and Thành Long joined Hải Phòng FC.

“Some other clubs have also asked to borrow our players. We are considering their offers,” said Nguyễn Tấn Anh, a representative of Hoàng Anh Gia Lai. — VNS
