Huỳnh Thanh Tùng wins VTV international cycling tournament’s stage 7

Stage seven of the VTV International Cycling Tournament for the Tôn Hoa Cup was won yesterday by cyclist Huỳnh Thanh Tùng from Military Zone 7 after finishing 134km in 3:16:01 hours.

HCM CITY – Stage seven of the VTV International Cycling Tournament for the Tôn Hoa Sen Cup was won yesterday by Huỳnh Thanh Tùng from Military Zone 7 after finishing 134km in 3:16:01 hours.

Starting from Thanh Hoá Province, the tournament passed through Ninh Bình and Hà Nam and then Nam Định.

After the first 20km, the race was led by five cyclists from the Hạt Ngọc Trời team. In the last 10km, the other team was able to reach them.

However, Võ Phú Trung kept his yellow jersey as he finished in the first group.

The winners for second and third place in the seventh stage were Desriac Loic of the Sict team and Nguyễn Tấn Hoài of the Domesco Đồng Tháp team.

In the seventh stage, the tournament presented 10 bicycles to disadvantaged students in Thanh Hoá. One tonne of rice was also presented to the province’s Red Cross Society.

The eight stage starts today from Nam Định to Hải Phòng, with a total length of 112 kilometres. -- VNS
