High school students make video in Environmental Competition for High School-Modern Solutions to Environmental Issue

High school students around the country are exhorted to make a 10-15 minute video on solutions for environmental issues in the country for a contest titled Environmental Competition for High School-Modern Solutions to Environmental Issue.

HCM CITY— High school students around the country are exhorted to make a 10-15 minute video on solutions for environmental issues in the country for a contest titled Environmental Competition for High School-Modern Solutions to Environmental Issue.

The contest is held by the International University, a member of Việt Nam National University- Hồ Chí Minh City, in co-operation with Deakin University of Australia.

It will be held until May 15 in three phases.

Students can register for the contest in four-member teams, and their video entries, necessarily in English or with English subtitles, will be uploaded on Youtube.

The six best teams will enter the semi-finals to make presentations and answer questions from the jury, also in English.

Of the six, three will be chosen for the final against teams from other countries.

According to the organisers, environmental issues such as water, air and soil pollution and waste are getting increasing attention from society.

They want high school students to improve their awareness of environmental protection and be trained in skills like teamwork, presentation and critical thinking. VNS
