NGHỆ AN — A whale carcass weighing more than 10 tonnes was found washed up on the shore of Diễn Hùng Commune, Diễn Châu District in the central province of Nghệ An on Saturday.
The carcass, about 9m in length and about 4-5m in width, was already well in the process of decomposition.
Local authorities and fishermen buried it on the same day in accordance with the customs and cultural practices of coastal residents.
