BÌNH ĐỊNH — The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the central province of Bình Định has launched the competition of relievo carving on the mountain cliffs on Nguyễn Tất Thành and Võ Nguyên Giáp streets in Quy Nhơn City.
Particularly, the relievo on Nguyễn Tất Thành Street will depict the image of Emperor Quang Trung (1753-1792) leading the operating troops, while the one on Võ Nguyên Giáp Street will portray the image of Lạc Long Quân and Âu Cơ, whose children are believed to be the ancestors of Việt Nam.
The eligible contestants are local sculptors and the deadline for the submission of their designs is the end of September. — VNS
