A 20-photo collection called The Story of Hanoia Lacquer will show how craftsmen turn a wooden block into refined and sophisticated lacquer products, including tea boxes, vases and décor plate at the Ancient House 87 Mã Mây from Friday, April 15.

Alongside unveiling different lacquer making processes, the exhibition aims to honour the traditional craft and the devoted craftsmen of Hạ Thái Village on the outskirts of  Hà Nội.

At the exhibition opening at 5pm, guests and visitors will be able to observe the most difficult process, inlaying egg shells and golden sheets onto lacquer products.

The exhibition also displays several beautifully designed lacquer products.
