HÀ NỘI — Ten years after his first live show Cánh Cung (The Bow), composer Đỗ Bảo will perform a second to celebrate his 30-year composing journey.

Một Mình Bao La (Only Me in Immensity) will take place both in HCM City and Hà Nội in November.

Explaining the name of his second live show, the 45-year-old composer said that for him, the loneliness doesn’t comprise sadness, but a specific yet hidden beauty.

“The life of every person is a unique journey, and no matter where that journey begins, love and human identity always exist amid the immense beauty of life and emotions,” he said.

A-list singers whose reputation have been enhanced by Đỗ Bảo’s songs will perform.

Tấn Minh will sing Bức Thư Tình Đầu Tiên (The First Love Letter), while songstress Hồ Quỳnh Hương will perform Bức Thư Tình Thứ Hai (The Second Love Letter).

Diva Thanh Lam, diva Hà Trần, divo Tùng Dương, and singer Nguyễn Ngọc Anh are also among the line-up of famous artists performing.

The show will also feature young artists, whose music is favourite of Gen Z audience, such as Uyên Linh, Trung Quân, Hoàng Dũng, Lân Nhã, and Gigi Hương Giang.

“The participation of young singers will help music by Đỗ Bảo reach the younger audience,” the show’s producer The Bros said.

Composer Đỗ Bảo added that some of his new songs will be unveiled during the shows.

He said: “Compared to previously, I've composed less. Alongside love, my recent tunes focus more on philosophy and reflection.

“In term of melody, those pieces have been influenced by international music trend, so they can conquer the taste of young audience.”

In 2009, Bảo became the first artist winning a double awards at the Cống Hiến Music Awards. His album Thời Gian Để Yêu (Time to Love) won "Album of the Year" while he was awarded "Songwriter of the Year".

Five years later, in 2014, he repeated this double achievement with the album Chuyện Của Mặt Trời - Chuyện Của Chúng Ta (Story of the Sun – Story of Us). — VNS
