Companies launch programme promoting environmental protection

P&G Vietnam, in collaboration with Central Retail Vietnam and Gaia Vietnam, has launched the forest restoration programme "Vì Bạn Ươm Mầm Một Việt Nam Xanh - Forests For Good".

HCM CITY – P&G Vietnam, in collaboration with Central Retail Vietnam and Gaia Vietnam, has launched the forest restoration programme "Vì Bạn Ươm Mầm Một Việt Nam Xanh - Forests For Good".

The programme, which is in celebration of Earth Day 2023, aims to promote environmental protection and inspire consumers to play an active role in preserving the Earth.

Under the programme, from April 13th to April 26th 2023, when shopping for P&G products with a total value of VNĐ399,000 per bill at GO!, Big C or Tops Market, consumers will contribute one forest tree to this project.

Participants of the programme will also receive a VNĐ20,000 or VNĐ50,000 voucher for each bill as a token of appreciation.

Some 6,000 trees of precious species will be planted in the initial phase at various locations across Việt Nam, including Xuân Liên Forest in Xuân Liên Nature Reserve, Thanh Hoá Province, and Cà Mau Forest in Cà Mau Cape National Park.

The first forest planting is set to take place in July 2023.

“The Forest for Good programme has been an integral part of P&Gs Force for Good efforts to drive Nature Conservation across the region. Planting a tree is one of the simplest but most powerful ways in which we can help mankind today and for generations to come. P&G, together with our partners, will now enable Vietnamese consumers to participate in nature conservation via tree plantation,” said Priyamvada Srivastava, vice president, country manager of P&G Vietnam.
