HÀ NỘI — Following the completion of legal procedures, American David Harrison Arnold of Saigon Heat has become a resident of Việt Nam and will now be classified as a local player in the team at the ongoing ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) 2018.

The move will boost the Heat’s performance and help them achieve their target of winning the ABL. Twenty seven-year-old Arnold joined the Heat in 2014 and is the star of the club. In 2016, he was named to the All-VBA First Team, finishing with an average of 17.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game.

The 1.88m-tall basketballer, who played college basketball for the Northern Colorado Bears and the Montana State Billings Yellowjackets, is expected to provide the Heat many attack solutions at the ABL.

The Heat will meet Formosa Dreamers of Chinese Taipei at the ABL on away turf on January 6. — VNS
